Guidelines

WebDental Network Terms of Use To make this the best possible environment for all members, we ask that everyone follow some basic guidelines. We'll do our part to ensure the WebDental Network remains a constructive and supportive place, but we need your help in the following areas:

Spam Please don't spam.
What is spam? Spam is posting the same message repeatedly across the network. Spam is writing the same post or comment over and over again. Spam is sending the same message to multiple members. You get the picture.

We take a hard line on spam and inappropriate language. If you are reported or deemed by us to be a spammer, we may ban you from future participation in the WebDental Network.

Forum and Blog Posts
The WebDental Network is a place to share information about things that are important to you, your industry and your business. Please keep your comments and discussion postings on topic, rated PG-13, spam free, and appropriate for a mixed audience. We take a hard line view on spam and inappropriate language. If you are reported or deemed by us to be in conflict with these standards, we may ban you from future participation in the WebDental Network.

Photos and Videos The WebDental Network is a place to share information about things that are important to you, your industry and your business. This includes the sharing of videos and photos. Please make sure that you have permission to use and distribute any videos or photos that you post on WebDental Network. Please make sure that your videos and photos are rated PG-13, and appropriate for a mixed audience. We take a hard line view on spam, inappropriate language and visuals. If you are reported or deemed by us to be in conflict with these standards, we may ban you from future participation in the WebDental Network.

Member Profiles
The WebDental Network is intended to be a community of individuals sharing ideas and making connections with other business professionals. Therefore, your profile on the WebDental Network should be about you – it’s not a profile for your company. Your profile should contain a picture of you, and should show your name - not your company name and your logo.

Advertising and Promotion The good news - If you've got something to say that is directly relevant to the conversation at hand, we encourage you to tell folks about it on the WebDental Network!

The bad news - advertisements and promotions to members - such as asking for donations, creating blog posts about your company’s services or telling everyone about ways to make money fast on the Internet – things that you may think are relevant to everyone, simply aren't!

We will delete content that is promotional in nature and may ban members who are abusing the Network from future participation.

Insults and Harassment
Respectfully disagreeing with someone - including us - in a constructive, well-reasoned manner is not only welcomed, but encouraged. We can't get better if we don't have thoughtful, constructive feedback from you about your life experiences. That's why we're here.

On the other hand, if you're here to find an outlet for your anger or frustration, or if you desire to call us or anyone else on the network IDIOTS (IN ALL CAPS) over and over again, this isn't the right place to do it! Instead, drop us a note or call us to get whatever it is off your chest. We do read every email that comes in. We will get the message loud and clear when you are unhappy.

We take threatening, unconstructive, toxic, profane, or generally abusive people very seriously and will ban them quickly when we encounter them. Even if you have a right to be angry or frustrated, yelling at us or other members of the Network on-line isn't helpful and won't get you what you want - just like in the real world.

If You've Been Banned from Our Network
If you've been banned from WebDental Network or had a comment deleted by us and you think we are in error, by all means let us know. We'll always take another look at the specific case and respond at least once to your concerns.

Unfortunately, we aren't able to publicly handle appeals or articulate reasons for banning someone. These topics have a tendency to devolve into the realm of unconstructive on-line shouting matches that take up a lot of time and don't end well. As a result, we'll remove discussions and blog posts asking for public comment on banning.

We recognize that WebDental Network may not be for everyone. If our Terms of Service or these few basic rules above aren't going to work for you, we understand. We dislike having to ban people or delete inappropriate content, so if you don't think that this Network is going to work for you upfront, it's much better for all of us to know it now.

Thanks for your time. We look forward to your active participation in the WebDental Network.
