This 8 hour combined program consists of 4 hours of continuing education in managing medical emergencies and 4 hours of continuing education in airway management. The 4 hours in airway management includes 2 hours of training in providing dentistry on sedated patients with compromised airway and 2 hours of hands-on training in airway management of sedated patients. Program is being presented by an anesthesiologist.
This program meets the new Florida Board of Dentistry Regulations for Sedation Permit Renewals Chapter 64B5-14.004 (6).

The Airway Management CE is a unique program designed to give students the chance to learn, practice and demonstrate their ability in applying many airway skills used in resuscitation. Students increase their awareness of various airway products and skills required.
This course provides an in-depth look at effective airway management techniques that you will actually use in your next emergency airway. There is a unique focus on airway anatomy and imaging combined with one-of-a-kind opportunity to practice the techniques utilizing simulation and multiple airway devices. This course teaches practical, effective skills and strategies for adult and pediatric intubation that promote patient safety and increase provider confidence.
This program is appropriate for dentists and assisting staff who are involved in the administration of sedation and anesthesia.
