I am a casting expert for Jewellery Industry and Dental Laboratory.I have been doing casting in precious and non-precious alloys since last more than 25 years now, personally and daily. Spruing and investing the wax patterns as well.
Melting the alloys precious as well as non-precious, to the correct melting temperature is very important, with out over heating and burning the alloys, for a homogeneous and fine grain casting structure, which is porosity free. Spruing and Right design of sprue is very important to get porosity free castings.Which is the first step to get proper and sound castings.
I am a highly skilled caster and I get perfect castings free of porosity every time I cast, since now my eyes are trained and knows when the right melting temperature is reached and accurate time to cast. But for a commercial lab like you requires a good quality Induction melt, centrifugal casting machine for consistent result.
