denture repair (1)

Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth and the tissues that surround them. The acrylic resin fused with various metals is the most popular material used for making them. We can help whether you need complete dentures to replace an entire set of teeth or partial dentures to replace one or a few teeth. There are two types of complete dentures, “immediate” and “conventional.” We can help you decide which is right for you.

About Dentures
Dentures are ideal for those seeking affordable ways to replace missing teeth. We can also repair and secure loose dentures that have made it harder to speak, eat or smile with confidence.

Modern dentures replace missing teeth while improving gum health and are both affordable and well-fitting. It is difficult to chew and speak when you are missing teeth. Your smile isn’t what you want it to be, and you may lose confidence in forming new relationships and seeking new job opportunities as a result. Dental dentures can solve those issues. Dentures of old are nothing like the new dentures offered by the dental team at our dentistry practice.

The materials used to make dentures are now more durable. We select them carefully so that your dentures look natural and fit comfortably. Affordable dentures can completely transform your smile while also improving your dental health.

Dental Dentures and Your Health
Our dentists, Dr. Alexander Bokser and Dr. Irene Bokser, always try to keep your natural teeth first, but it’s not always possible.

You may lose your original teeth for a variety of reasons, including:
- Years of improper dental care
- An accident in which your teeth were knocked out or broken
- Inheriting dental problems
- Physical ailments that compromise your oral health
- Drug abuse and smoking

Since your family dentist also is a certified cosmetic dentist, he will provide you with basic dental treatments before recommending more complex procedures like dental dentures. The team at our dental practice understands your budget constraints, dental history, and appearance goals, making them best suited to create a plan that serves your best interests.

Denture Options
There are various types of dental dentures. Which one is best for you ultimately depends on how many teeth you’ve lost.

At Precision Dental NYC, you’ll have access to:

- Traditional dentures are ideal when the dentist needs to extract all of your teeth. Once you’ve healed, your doctor can make your dentures. It may take up to 12 weeks, so temporary dentures are usually made available.

- Same-day dentures are also called one-day dentures or immediate dentures. We create them before the extraction of any teeth. And while you walk out the same day with your new teeth, you may have to return several times to get them adjusted correctly.

- Flexible dentures are malleable and quickly conform to your mouth’s shape. These are more comfortable for many people to wear. Flexible dentures are available as a complete set or as partial dentures.

- Partial dentures are ideal when the specialist can save some of your original teeth. They often are attached to a bridge. A bridge can be cemented permanently or designed to be removable.

Please schedule a one-on-one consultation with one of our dentists to determine which type of dentures will work best for you.
