Years in Dental Industry
I have attended over a dozen dental shows this year, both national and state-based. In hundreds of conversations with dentists on the topic of online presence. I was amazed at the number of dentists do not even have a website, much less any awareness of the impact online public comments have on the number of new patients who come to their practice. This lack of awareness not only costs current business, but ultimately the value of the business when it is time to retire. Many years ago I founded Dental Entrepreneur magazine. I launched the magazine for dental students because business is not taught in dental schools, yet their graduates are immediately thrust into business. Some never really get it. That is why I am committed to teaching the power of the Internet -- particularly online review sites -- to dramatically impact the revenues and ultimate value of a practice.
